Kids Christmas Party Dec. 15, 2009 PDF Print E-mail

Hi Everyone!
The Western Area Business and Civic Club are living up the the "Civic" end of the title and are hosting a Christmas Party for local families.  

When:  Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 5:30pm til about 7:30pm.
Where:  Mr. D's Conference Room, 5622 Grand Avenue
Why: Because it's Christmas Time!
Who's Welcome: This is a family event for our members plus families in the area. 

We are gearing it toward the kids, with kids games, story telling, caroling, face painter, and at 6:30pm Santa will arrive.  Kids of all ages can get their picture taken with Santa!

WHAT:    In celebration of Global Youth Service Day, Duluth Public Schools Service-Learning students are hosting the Spirit of Health Festival on April 24 and 25. The Festival, held at Denfeld High School’s gymnasium, is open to the public. The event includes over 25 informational booths including student-sponsored booths, hourly breakout sessions and a blood drive by Memorial Blood Centers.

Special Events for the Public:
Saturday Blood Drive:  Memorial Blood Center will be onsite Saturday. Interested individuals should contact Laura LaFontaine at (218-336-8830 ext. 2019.)

  •   10:00 - 10:50 a.m.  AIDS Information Duluth (Room 315), American Lung Association (Room 326), St.  Luke’s/MN State  Patrol   (Room 329)
  •   11:00 - 11:50 a.m.  Teen Council (RM317), Self Harm/Cutting (Room 327), Healthy Cooking (Room 249)
  •   12:00 - 12:50 p.m.  Pregnancy/Birth Options LSS (Room 315), Programs for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (Room 329)

Through the provision of financial and technical support from Duluth LISC and State Farm Insurance, Duluth Public Schools Service-Learning students are provided opportunities to apply their classroom learning to activities emphasizing neighborhood stewardship and service.

WHEN:      Friday, April 24 (1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) & Saturday, April 25 (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
